How To Change The Microphone Or Camera In Chrome

The Google Chrome browser allows you to use your microphone and camera for activities such as meetings, online social networking, and remote work. However, if you want to switch between different devices, you may need some help finding the settings.

Let’s say you have a new headset or camera and want to use those on Chrome. Through remote work and study, many in-browser solutions need your camera and microphone-such as Google Meet. You may have granted these websites access to the device, but just in case, you need to adjust the settings to the new settings. Here’s an easy way to do this. First- it sounds obvious, but it makes me addicted-make sure the new camera and microphone are plugged in and set up. These settings are difficult to find because they may not be where you expect them to be.

Go to your Chrome settings and find the “Privacy and Security” option on the left.

After doing this, find “Site Settings” on the list, and it will take you to the list of various permissions and content settings for the visited website. Under permissions, see “Camera” and “Microphone”. Clicking on any of them will take you to another list, this time to the websites that can access these devices. At the top of the list, you will see the devices currently in use. Clicking this button will provide you with a drop-down menu of currently available devices. Select the device you are currently using, and set each website on Chrome to that device.

The advantage of these settings is that you can control which sites can access your microphone or camera. On the same menu, you can view a list of websites that previously had access to the camera and microphone, or you can remove permissions by clicking the trash can next to that website.

That’s all! Now you can change the microphone and camera used in Chrome very easily. All the best!
