Vidya Balan has always surprised us with her powerful and unique roles. Her portrayal of Vidya Bagchi in Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Kahaani’ is still fresh in our minds. Now, the actor director duo is back with a sequel to the movie which is titled ‘Kahaani 2’. In the sequel, Vidya is seen playing the role of ‘Durga Rani Singh’, a mother whose only mission in life is to save her daughter who has gone missing. Even though, Vidya plays ‘Durga Rani Singh’ in the movie, yet the trailer hints at a case of mistaken identity. Arjun Rampal is playing the role of a top cop who is assigned Vidya’s case in the film. We can also get a glimpse of actor Jugal Hansraj in the trailer.
Like ‘Kahaani’ which kept us thrilled till the very end, ‘Kahaani 2’ also looks like it will keep us at the edge of our seats through out the movie. From the trailer, the movie looks promising and after the huge success of ‘Kahaani’, the expectations of the audience has increased many folds. So, this time Vidya and director Sujoy Ghosh are carrying much bigger responsibility on their shoulders.
The film is set to release on December 2nd, 2016. We hope the sequel succeeds in fulfilling the expectations of its audiences and achieve huge acclaim and appreciation from the critics as well as audience like ‘Kahaani’ did.
